I am a 2003 graduate of McMurry University in Abilene, Texas where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education with a focus in Theatre Studies. I have been happily married for 14 years to my college sweetheart and creative sounding board. Together we have two amazing sons who fill our creative cups with laughter, Legos and enough excitement to always keep us on our toes.
Along with theatre my favorite pastime includes all things baseball and the Texas Rangers. I'm also a big fan of music, especially alternative rock. Some of my favorites are Ben Folds, Jimmy Eat World, Bears Den, Biffy Clyro and Snow Patrol.
I am entering my 15th year as a theatre director and my first year in Rio Vista after serving as director at North Forney High School (2017-2018), Belton High School (2010-2017), Port Lavaca-Calhoun High School (2008-2010) Granbury High School (2005-2008) and Granbury Middle School (2004-2005).
Over the course of my career I have worked on over 80 productions at the high school and middle school level. Among my favorites are Over the River and Through the Woods, Picasso at the Lapin Agile, Rabbit Hole, Is He Dead? and How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. I have always enjoyed being in the theatre and experiencing the creation of a production from beginning to end and sharing that with my students and colleagues on stage, backstage and in the classroom.
